Filter & Reaction System

The FiRe application is the filter, correlation and reaction engine for element managers, such as the NetManager for SURPASS Next Generation Switching and EWSD.

It offers a graphical user interface for configuring alarm filters, correlation and response rules. The configuration of these rules is not restricted to the contents of alarm information, but may also include external information, e.g., services, etc. These rules can be applied several times over by various users within the same instance.

Apart from standard responses (sound, e-mail, trouble ticket, dialog pop-ups), it is also possible to configure customer-specific variants.

In the FiRe GUI a simulation tool is included in order to test rules before they are distributed and applied in live operations.

FiRe is a component of the siNMs system, but can also be ordered separately. In addition, siNMs/FiRe offers integration with SPOTS as well as with a number of other technologies and products (also 3rd party).
