Integrated Network Management Services
siNMs (Integrated Network Management Services) is a so-called umbrella network management system, which is predominantly used for heterogeneous voice and data networks. It enables access to individual network management systems or directly to network elements and
– very importantly – displays the complete network status using a standardized display. It is designed for universal application in situations involved in the monitoring of systems which can transmit electronic signals.
The essential advantages of siNMs are:
- Management of diverse technologies: SDH and PDH, DWDM, GSM/UMTS, GSM-R, CaTV, ATM, IP, Access, Enterprise
- Integration of a wide variety of products using a flexible integration concept (including Surpass, Walkair (PMP), EWSD, EWSP, HICOM, HiPath and third-party products)
- Guaranteeing Service Level Agreements
- A flexible service management that can be optimally adapted to the network operator's operating concept
- Quick restoration of service by automatic recognition of sources of error
Siemens Programm- und Systementwicklung GmbH & Co. KG has been collaborating on the development of siNMs for years and has gathered a wide range of experience in umbrella management and as a system integrator in its work on large-scale international projects, for example in Argentina, Egypt, Poland, Singapore and the United Arab Emirates. As of October 2002, we have assumed the entire responsibility for the product, including all current projects.
